Work Day Saturday 24 March

Hi All,

NEXT WORKING DAY – This coming Saturday 24th March

It would be great if we could have a reall good turnout of members as we really do need to get the earthworks completed and smoothed/leveled for grass seeding by the beginning of April.

We will be continuing work days throughout the summer, however the emphasis will be more on grass cutting and routine tidying.

Thanks to all who have turned out to help so far;  we have really made some good progress since last October, you have all done a great job and I would like to continue this during the summer, despite and along with all the re-vitalised sailing activity which will be going on.

WE WILL BE NEEDING A REGULAR ROTA OF PEOPLE TO KEEP THE GRASS CUT…

We now have two good mowers, efficiently serviced by Gus. If you would like to volunteer for regular grass cutting, please email me: kathykilbey@gmail.com.

With the help of Dave Phillips and one of his big toys, we will shortly be completing the surface area clean-up in the compound and flattening the area for the paved terrace in front of the club.

After that, we hope that members will come and clean and sort their boats out, ready for some serious 2012 sailing!

We are now an “RYA Sail for Gold” club (have a look at so lets get sailing – www.rya.org and take a look at the section on Sail for Gold).  Full details of how the club will be participating and how it will benefit the club will be released by Susan very shortly.

Also we have an Easter cruise to Bristol planned, for those who have good thick skins and sailing gear…..
