Committee Table
As a result of the refurbishment works in the main room we no longer have space for this table. At the committee meeting on Friday night it was decided that we would dispose of this and initially give the members a chance to bid for this. If anyone is interested in acquiring this would you please let me have your bid no later than Thursday 19 May and all bids will be presented to the committee meeting on Friday 20 May. It is on the basis that whoever purchases this will have to make their own arrangements for the removal. If you wish to have a look at the table it is in the front entrance hall.
Presentation Evening
Gillian has been asked to find a suitable venue for holding the annual awards in November. In previous years we have held them in hotels or village halls. Last year we held the awards ceremony at the club.
Gillian would very much like members to vote either to hold the evening at the club or at a different venue with a dinner dance as well. Gillian estimates the cost of a dinner dance to be about £20 – £30 a head depending on where we hold it. Gillian priced the Chase Hotel in Ross and it was infinitely more. A buffet at Xerox Club in Mitcheldean would be about £20 including a disco and bar until midnight. There are of course alternatives to those but first of all a vote on the club or another venue please.
